摘要

Plasma extraction from the blood is a prerequisite step for many clinical diagnostic processes. Here, we report a blood plasma separation method by concentrating RBCs in a sessile droplet of 1:20 diluted blood sample using surface acoustic wave (SAW) device ensuring cell viability. Potential of the proposed method to separate cells from plasma has been demonstrated initially by concentrating 10µm polystyrene beads suspended in DI water.
