Abstract

This papers concentrate on experimental research of pulsating heat pipe with titanium oxide nanoparticles with dowtherm A as a high temperature working fluid. The PHP has a eight turns make by using copper tube. Five concentrations of Titanium oxide nanoparticales in 0.18%,0.36%, 0.54%, 0.72% and 0.90% in Dowtherm A as a base fluid and preparing nanofluids and were used in PHP. The heat input varied between 400W to 800W in step size heat input 100W. The TiO2 Nanoparticales are mixed with dowtherm A to from a stable suspensions using bath Sonicator. All the experimentation would have been carried out for varying different mass concentration, different heat input in vertical mode. The parameters considered for evaluating heat transfer performance are the evaporator temperature and condenser temperature, thermal resistance, heat transfer efficient and enhancement of heat transfer performance in pulsating heat pipe.
