Abstract

Analysis of the effect of heat source and variable gravity on the onset of Hadley-Prats flow in a horizontal fluid-saturated porous layer with inclined temperature gradients is studied using the linear stability analysis. Then the resultant eigenvalue problem is solved numerically to evaluate eigenvalue, which is treated as a vertical thermal Rayleigh number (Rz), by using shooting and fourth order Runga-Kutta method. Also, the critical Rz is investigated for different parameters of governing the flow.
