要約

In this investigation, design and numerical simulation has been carried out to visualise the flow pattern inside the cryogenic radial turbine for the liquefaction of helium gas. ANSYS®VISTA RTD is used to initiate the mean line design of turbine blade profile. Then, 3-D model of turbine blade and fluid passage (Hub, Shroud, Inflow, Periodic side, outblock etc.) is generated using BladeGen. Meridional profiles, hub and shroud tip layers are optimised in BladeGen to increase the efficiency of the turbine and minimize the high pressure zone and vortex formation inside the fluid passage. On the basis of generated 3D blade profile and flow passage, a computational grid is created using TurboGrid. Three-dimensional numerical simulation is performed using k-ω model with shear stress transport (SST) turbulence model in CFX. Pressure, velocity, turbulence paramters etc. are visualised inside the fluid domain. To minimize the high pressure zone and vortex formation inside the fluid passage, hub and shroud tip layers are resized.
