要約

The pool boiling heat transfer characteristics 10-5%, 10-4%, 10-3%, 10-2 % and 10-1% by weight concentrations of reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) nanofluid has been studied. Different rGO nanofluids were prepared in de-ionized water. The pool boiling heat transfer data were acquired for the boiling of nano-fluids over a 30mm square and 0.44mm thick copper plate heater under atmospheric pressure. The Critical Heat Flux (CHF) of de-ionized water was measured on a nanoparticle coated surface which was produced during the pool boiling experiments of nanofluids. The results show that the CHFs of various nanofluids are significantly enhanced over that of de-ionized water. The result clearly shows that the main cause for CHF enhancement of nano-fluids is the modification of the heating surface by the nanoparticle deposition. In a present study, rGO have been characterized through atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and surface roughness. Thermal conductivity of rGO nanofluids for different concentration is reported and the heat transfer coefficient of nano-fluid reduces while CHF increases. Finally, CHF enhancement of nanofluids is discussed using the parameters.
