摘要

In this paper, the performance of photovoltaic module integrated with finned nano-enhanced phase change material (PV-NEPCM) with multiple inclinations (θ) is numerically simulated for different volume concentrations of nanoparticles (φ = 2% and 4%) . The PCM selected for the study is RT25HC, and the nanoparticles used is CuO. The influence of fin number (n) on the performance of PV-NEPCM is also explored. Average PV temperature, liquid fraction and electrical efficiency of PV are considered as performance indicators of the system. The results show that the inclusion of fins and nanoparticles significantly influences PCM's thermal conductivity and melting rate, leading to a decrease in the PV temperature and an increase in PV performance. Conduction is the heat transfer mechanism for horizontal configurations, and natural convection plays a significant role in configurations other than inclination θ = 0°, which drives the melting in the PCM. For any inclination, the effect of nanoparticle loading is more prominent for the no-fin case (n = 0). By using NEPCM with φ = 4% , a maximum PV temperature reduction of 1.99 °C and a maximum PV efficiency enhancement of 1.24% is obtained when θ = 0° compared to pure PCM. The effect of NEPCM decreases with an increase in inclination and fin number.
