In an Electric vehicle temperature control of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery works a key role in delivering better performance, and lifespan. This paper mainly focuses on the reaction of Li-ion cell placed in different environments. Li Ion batteries are commonly used in electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles. Execution of Li ion batteries is based on temperature. So, a Battery Thermal Control System (BTCS) is provided in the battery to optimize the performance and retain the battery at ideal temperature. BTCS heats or cools the system as required according to the conditions. The present study presents the behaviour of a cell in the respective fluid environment using ANSYS Fluent software. Full three-dimensional simulations have been done to examine the thermal effects on pouch type cell using several fluids. The analysis concerns one pouch type cell which constitutes the module. The virtual model has been parameterized and the behaviour of different cooling systems has been evaluated through virtual tools.
