The present study illustrates a theoretical approach to estimate the effective thermal conductivity (ETC) of coated metal foams infiltrated with Phase change material (PCM). A three-dimension (3D) model has been developed considering the square geometry of the tetrakaidecahedron structure. Volume averaging technique is used to model the ETC of the unit cell. It is observed that by coating the MFs with high thermally conducting material such as graphene; the ETC can be significantly improved. This depicts the potential candidature of coated metal foams in the thermal management applications. The present model predicts the ETC with excellent accuracy with the existing test data from the literature.
