Numerical investigation has been conducted to examine the change in turbulent mixing characteristics due to offset in coaxial jets. Non-reacting, low-subsonic coaxial jets are modeled and analysed using commercial CFD package ANSYS FLUENT 18.2. The three-dimensional incompressible Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations paired with the k-ε turbulence model have been used to analyse the coaxial mixing characteristics of the jets. The mean axial velocity and turbulent intensity of the flow field are plotted for offsets of the inner jet duct with respect to the outer jet duct in axial direction. The results showed an increased turbulence level for the flow field of negative as well as positive axial offset jets.
