THERMAL BEHAVIOR OF A TWO DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURE UNDER THE EFFECT OF COMBINED DUAL PHASE LAG CONDUCTION AND RADIATION MODEL
Combined mode dual phase lag heat conduction and radiation heat transfer is analyzed in a two dimensional differentially heated square cavity containing optically participating medium. Radiative transfer equation is solved using finite volume method and energy equation is solved using alternating direction implicit method. Step change in temperature at south wall is used as a boundary condition. To show the effects of relaxation times and radiation, temperature distributions are plotted for different lag ratios and conduction-radiation parameter. Sample results are validated against some benchmark problems, and they are in good agreement with the reported results.
