TRANSIENT MIXED CONVECTION FLOW IN VENTILATED PARALLELOGRAM ENCLOSURE WITH PARTIALLY ACTIVE THERMAL ZONES
A numerical study is performed for the mixed convection
ventilation flow in an air-filled parallelogrammic shaped ventilated enclosure with discrete time periodic heat sources. The vertical walls are inclined at different angles with x-axis to obtain the maximum heat transfer rate by inlet of pure fluid from the atmosphere along the left vertical wall and flush out through the outlet port along the right vertical wall. A two dimensional projection analysis is made by computing the temperature fields
and flow lines for various values of Richardson number, Reynolds number and inclination angle with Prandtl number Pr = 0.71. A significant variation of temperature and entropy generation is found inside the chamber by changing the inlet fluid temperature and inclination angle.
