Combustion Analysis of Premixed Laminar Burner Flame in OpenFoam

The domestic cooking stoves are used in nearly every household and a slight improvement in its efficiency can save a large amount of fuel usage. In this study the reactingFoam solver is used to simulate the household cooking stoves. This burner produces a premixed laminar flame. The Psi chemistry combustion model is used to solve the chemical kinetics of methane flame. The predicted axial and radial profile of temperature and species mass fraction are studies and discussed in detail. No traces of CO gas was observed after combustion. The simulated results are important to design a fuel-efficient and Eco-friendly cooking stoves.
