要約

The objective of the present work is to investigate the influence of the magnetic field on Tetrahydrofuran (THF) hydrate formation in the presence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. All the experiments are conducted by mixing THF and water at stoichiometric concentrations in the cylindrical reactor at 2°C. The Fe3O4 nanoparticles are used at two concentrations (0.01 wt%, 0.03 wt%) and in the presence and absence of the magnetic field. THF hydrate images are captured to calculate hydrate thickness, and results are compared with the base case. It is observed that the addition of Fe3O4 nanoparticles at 0.01 wt%, 0.03 wt% concentration enhances the hydrate growth by 28.71% and 36.32%, respectively, compared to the base case. Further, after applying the magnetic field, the hydrate growth is increased by 37.25% and 43.17 %, respectively, compared to the base case. Results show that both nanoparticles and magnetic field intensity enhanced the THF hydrate growth.
