要約

Proper understanding of frequencies involved during vertical steam injection on water pools (or subcooled liquids) is crucial from the safety aspect of power plants, refrigeration plants, and in oil refineries. In the present experimental study, parametric investigation is performed by changing parameters like steam flow rate and submergence depth of outlet of the steam injection pipe. Analysis pertaining to pressure in the steam injection pipe, sound pressure within the water pool, bubble size variations using image processing is carried out. Experimental results reveal the variation in frequency intensity with change in flow rates as well with change in submergence depth of steam pipe outlet. Area and perimeter fluctuations (changes) were found to show decreasing trend with increase in submergence depth upto certain limit. In the end, the frequency analysis was carried out on measurements collected from pressure sensors, hydrophone and bubble size variations which revealed different dominant frequency ranges.
