要約

Predicting the steam air mixture bubble behaviour in a pool of water is challenging because of ever changing shape and size of the bubble due to phase change in presence of non-condensables. Due to lack of sufficient experimental and numerical data in open literature, a detailed analytical modelling based on first principles of heat and mass transfer has been carried out. A FORTRAN code has been developed to solve the mass, energy and momentum conservation of mixture bubble along with suitable correlation for heat transfer coefficient. Rayleigh-Plesset equation was used for evaluating bubble size variation. All the time dependent differential equations were solved by using fourth order Runge-Kutta method. The developed model was used for simulating the experimental condition described by Qu et al [1] and evaluated the parameters such as bubble volume, diameter and bubble velocity. The predicted parameters were compared with the reported experimental results and they found to be in good agreement with each other. The paper presents the modelling aspects and insights about the mixture bubble heat transfer and its dynamics in pool of water.
