Resumo

Heat transfer phenomena in laser-irradiated biological tissues has become prime importance as it determines the extent of damage to the adjoining healthy tissues during the destruction of cancerous cells. Therefore, the present study analytically investigated the thermal behavior of laser irradiated biological tissues. The analytical solution of non-Fourier heat conduction model based bio-heat transfer equation with energy generation in Cylindrical coordinates using the method of separation of variables has been developed. The results obtained using this analytical solution have been compared wi0th Fourier heat conduction model based bio-heat transfer equation. The effect of eigenvalues, metabolic heat generation, blood perfusion rate and incident radiant power on temperature re distributions within the axisymmetric biological tissue phantom have been studied.
