Resumo

The work reports experiments to understand droplet spread behavior post-impact on inclined solid substrates having different wettability values. With the help of droplet spread data obtained for water droplet impinging on target solid substrates, the role of impact inertia and gravity forces is explored. Results reveal that the normal component of Weber number has a significant contribution to the impact inertia, which supports droplet spread on solid substrates. While the gravity forces support the downward movement of the bulk of the droplet along the incline.
